LINCOLNTON - Mr. Cephas ‘"Junior" Huss, age 77 of Lincolnton, N.C. passed away Saturday, June 6, 2009.

His funeral will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the Bethphage Lutheran Church with Pastor Mitschke officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with DAV military rites. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home.

Junior was born August 25, 1931 in Lincoln County and was the son of the late Cephas Hinkle Huss, Sr. and Martha Houser Huss. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joann Cody Huss and a son, Ronald Lane Huss. Junior was retired from the Charlotte Fire Dept. and was also a retired carpenter. He was a veteran of the US Army serving Oct. 1, 1952 until Sept. 1, 1954 during the Korean War. Junior was a loving father, grandfather, and a good and loyal friend to many.

Survivors include: one son, Mickey Huss of Lincolnton; one sister, Mary Ruth Norman of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Michael E. Huss and Shannon Leann Green; great-grandchildren, Mylee Emma Huss and Kiersten Leann Green.
