TWO CATAWBA COUNTY MEN FACE DRUG CHARGES

Two Catawba County men are in jail after authorities made a drug bust in Conover last week.

According to Major Coy Reid with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, the bust was made last Thursday.

“Investigators from the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, along with investigators from both Newton and Hickory Police Departments, made the bust at a residence on Puett Park Drive,” said Reid.

Miguel Lopez Guitierrez and Jose Zenteno were taken to the Catawba County Jail under a $150,000 bond each on charges of trafficking cocaine.

Investigators seized over sixteen ounces of cocaine, estimated street value between $10,000 to $15,000. Also seized were two firearms from the residence.
