DENVER
-- A 29-year-old man loses
control of his car Sunday night and plows
into an Oak tree in the 2400 block of
Highway 16.
North
Carolina Highway Patrol trooper R.L. Neal
said the driver -- who couldn't be
identified Sunday night -- was cut from
the vehicle and taken to Carolinas
Medical Center in Charlotte.
"He
was traveling north, when he ran off the
right side of the road, overcorrected,
then ran off the left side of the
road," said Neal, adding the driver
wasn't wearing his seat belt.
Neal
added speed was a factor in the accident
but could not say if alcohol played a
role, as the investigation into the
accident continued early Monday morning.
