The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE)/Traffic Team will be featured as one of 13 agencies on a Governor's Highway Safety 2010 calendar.

LINCOLN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE CHOSEN FOR CALENDAR

LINCOLNTON – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office has been chosen as one of 13 law enforcement agencies statewide to be represented on a 2010 calendar produced by the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program.

According to Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (ACE)/Traffic Team Sgt. Larry Ingle, the department received word on Sept. 24 it would be represented on the calendar.

“This is the first time we’ve been on the calendar,” said Sgt. Ingle.

The picture from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office was taken in front of the Lincoln County Courthouse, with ACE/Traffic Team members Ingle and Deputy Jason Hutchinson posed next to two Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department cruisers. A sign touting the “Click It or Ticket” program is displayed between the officers.

According to Governor’s Highway Safety Program director Darrell Jernigan, there were over 30 entries received for the upcoming 2010 calendar.

“It was extremely difficult to narrow our selection down to 13, as each entry was creative and well-photographed,” said Jernigan in a letter to the LCSO.

Jernigan anticipates distributing the calendars starting in early December.
