Authorities respond to problem on school bus

Authorities in East Lincoln responded to a problem on a Lincoln County Schools bus around 3:45pm Tuesday afternoon.

Personnel arriving on the scene discovered a 15-year-old student reportedly intoxicated in the 1100 block of Verdict Ridge Drive off St. James Church Road.

Law enforcement at the scene said the student had taken xanax, hydrocodone, valium and had consumed a half bottle of tequila.

Denver Fire Department and Lincoln EMS responded to bus number eight out of East Lincoln High School, where they found the student.

The investigation into the incident continued as of Tuesday night.
