Blonnie
Mae Schronce Duckworth, 73, of Cherry
Ridge Drive went home to be with the Lord
on July 21, 2009 at Palliative CareCenter
& Hospice of Catawba Valley in
Newton.
Born
April 29, 1936 in Catawba County, she was
the daughter of the late Gaston R.
Schronce and Minnie Carter Schronce.
Blonnie worked for various companies in
the Catawba Valley, her final position
was Resident Attendant at Catawba Valley
Living at Rock Barn. Blonnie received her
GED from CVCC in 2000 after years of
being a wife and mother to her 4 boys.
Blonnie was a member of Catawba Valley
Baptist Church in Maiden.
Blonnie
will be remembered by her 4 sons: Randy
Hilderbran of Newton; Tony Hilderbran of
Claremont; Todd and Debra Hildebran of
Maiden, and Darrin and Kechia Duckworth
of Conover.
Grandchildren:
Jamie Hilderbran of Greensboro; Brooke
Bartels of Minnesota; Kassy Hilderbran of
Minnesota; Brittany Schmidt of Minnesota;
Tyler Hilderbran of Maiden and Austin
Duckworth of Conover.
Great
Grandchildren: Luke and Carter.
Other
surviving family: 3 Brothers: James
Robert Schronce of Washington state,
David Schronce of Lincolnton; Eddie
Schronce of Lincolnton; 2 Sisters: Marian
Guinn of Lincolnton and Lois Hendricks of
Lincolnton.
A
Celebration of her life will be held at
Catawba Valley Baptist Church in Maiden,
Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with
Rev. Ernest Richards officiating. The
body will lie in state 30 minutes prior
to the service. Burial will follow in the
church cemetery.
The
family will receive friends at the
church, prior to the service, Thursday,
July 23, 2009, from 1:00-1:45 p.m. at
Catawba Valley Baptist Church in Maiden.
