SEXUAL
ASSAULT REPORTED TO POLICE

LINCOLNTON
-- A 20-year-old woman told
Police that an acquaintence sexually
assaulted her in her own home and
authorities have made an arrest in the
case.
The
victim told officer Dwayne McAlister that
the man -- identified as 36-year-old
Armando Diaz -- even threatened her with
a gun if she didn't have sex with him.
The
incident happened Thursday morning around
6:05 a.m. at 125 Davis Street. McAlister
was originally dispatched to a breaking
and entering in progress at the victim's
residence.
When he
arrived on the scene, he was told by the
victim Diaz had left about 20 minutes
before she called police.
Police
went to Diaz's residene on Huss Street,
where he was arrested on harges of sexual
battery and communicating threats. Bond
for Diaz was set at $1,500 secured.
According
to the Web site www.lincolnsheriff.org, Diaz posted bond and was
released from jail.
