APARTMENT DAMAGED,
BURNED UNDER INVESTIGATION

-- Lincolnton Police detectives
are investigating damage to an apartment
at Colonial Village Drive, where
apartment managers found water gushing
out the front door and part of the
apartment burned.
The
incident unfolded just after 7am Monday
according to officer Ashley Boyles'
report.
A
maintenance worker was going to perform
work on the apartment when he noticed
water gushing out the front door. The
apartment management company was notified
and made entry into the residence.
Besides
the carpets being saturated with water, a
stove and some kitchen cabinets were
burned according to the report.
Detectives
were called to the scene and found some
charred paperwork in the damage.
Investigators
are waiting to talk to the resident
sometime Tuesday. The investigation into
what caused the damage is continuing.
