LINCOLNTON - Alice Lorine Poovey "Dinkie" Carpenter, 87, of 2101 Tim Mine Road, died July 19, 2009.

She was born July 22, 1921 in Lincoln County to the late Floyd and Mary Allran Poovey.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at South River Baptist Church. Her body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton.

Warlick Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
