Authorities responding to a 911
hangup call on Exodus Church Road
early Tuesday morning end up
having to call Lincoln EMS after
a man falls from a tree.
Thirty-one-year-old
Adam Scronce was transported to
Carolinas Medical Center Lincoln
in police custody, then taken to
the Magistrate's Office on
charges of assaulting a
government official and
communicating threats.
He was then taken to the Lincoln
County Jail under a $7,000
secured bond.
The incident started when the
Lincoln County Sheriff's Office
responded to a residence in the
3100 block of Exodus Church Road
just before 1am Tuesday.
At some point, Scronce fell
between 15 and 20 feet out of a
tree.
The victim may have been hiding
from law enforcement because the
911 hangup call was in reference
to some kind of disturbance at
the residence.
Law enforcement called medics who
originally called for Charlotte's
Med Center Air to land at
Carolinas Medical Center Lincoln.
Around 1:12am, Lincoln EMS nixed
the chopper, saying it was not
needed.
Around 1:22am, Lincoln EMS
reported the victim was being
transported to Carolinas Medical
Center Lincoln in law enforcement
custody.
