Ministry Helps to
Rehabilitate, Give Hope

LINCOLNTON
The more than 200 inmates
calling the Lincolnton State Department
of Corrections facility home can take
advantage of a prison ministry headed by
a Lincolnton pastor.
Scott Mann, pastor of New Vision
Ministries on Clarks Creek Road, has been
the prison chaplain for the past five
months.

Now Minimum Security

Inside the Lincolnton Department of
Corrections, which recently became a
minimum security facility. The prison
camp is located on Roper Drive off East
Main Street.

there has been a recent change at the
North Carolina Department of Corrections
facility in Lincolnton.
According to longtime employee Tim
Scronce, the prison recently became a
minimum security facility.

Two Separate Weekend
Housefires Suspicious

A mobile home on Hestertown Road
completely burned to the ground Friday
night by the time firefighters responded
to the call. It was one of two structure
fires over the weekend that are under
investigation.
LINCOLN
COUNTY -- The Lincoln County
Sheriff's Office and the Lincoln County
Fire Marshal's Office are investigating a
pair of weekend house fires that Fire
Marshal Mike Futrell calls suspicious.
First, a two-alarm
structure fire Friday night sent a total
of four fire departments to a residence
in the 700 block of Hestertown Road.

the Polls Tomorrow

With a little over 100
Lincolnton residents taking part in early
voting over the last two weeks, elections
officials are hoping for a better turnout
Tuesday.
Two Lincolnton City
Council seats -- held by Fred Houser and
Carroll Heavner -- as well as the Mayor's
spot are up for grabs when the polls open
6:30am across Lincolnton. The polls close
at 7:30pm.

plans to rededicate Honor Rolls for
Daniels members who served in the
US Armed Forces. Dedication will be
during 11:00 a.m. worship on Sunday,
