Does The Holy Spirit Live in You?

A Message by Billy Graham

>>The Holy Spirit can come and indwell you right now. You can start over again. You can become brand-new, with the Holy Spirit pulsating spiritual life through you and in you. The Bible says, “I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them” (Ezekiel 36:27). It is impossible to understand the Bible, Christian living, the structure of the church or our own relationship with God without understanding the Person and work of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is not an “it.” The Holy Spirit is a Person. The Bible says that He is not something, He is Someone. He is God. There are three Persons in the Trinity—God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

No matter where we go, He is there. “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?” (Psalm 139:7). The Holy Spirit can be in both your heart and my heart, even though we may live a thousand miles apart.

The Holy Spirit has all knowledge. The Bible says, “The Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of

It is not the answer that any of his followers, in his time would have given.

This “Identity-Division” that exists today is an invention of the development of the church over the
past 2000 years. The fact is that Christ’s church, is the total of all believers and followers of Christ, worldwide.

We may worship with a particular church family… and that’s good. We may Volunteers come to share their worship in singing and praising. Photo Contributed/TCS
congregate with others of like beliefs in worship styles, in our practice of baptism, communion, or other church activities… And, that certainly is not necessarily wrong.

But we need to remember first and foremost, that each of us is simply a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ, the son of God who is the only way to eternal salvation.

At the Bethesda mission, we don’t ask about a person’s church affiliation. We ask, “Are you hungry? Would you like a hot meal?” Then we ask, “Would you
