DEPUTIES SEE PARAGLIDER TIED UP ON CATAWBA RIVER



DENVER – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office lake patrol deputies John Isaacks and Bruce White admit they made a rare discovery Sunday afternoon in the Catawba River near Duke Energy.

“It’s not every day you see a paraglider in the water,” said White.

Around 5:15pm Sunday, the Lincoln County Communications Center was notified there was a paraglider in the Catawba River at the Highway 73 Bridge. Initially, the incident

MAN KILLED IN SUNDAY MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT

BOGER CITY --
A motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene of a traffic accident Sunday just before 3pm.

The accident happened at the intersection of Huss Street and Arney Street off East Main Street.

Huss Street from East Main Street to Green Street was blocked to traffic.

Additionally, the intersection of Huss and Arney Streets were blocked by fire department tape as authorities investigated the accident.
