VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Daniels Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School will run Sunday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 15 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm each evening. Supper will be available free of charge on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm. On Sunday night July 12 there will be an ice cream social for all Daniels’ members and guests from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Bible School opening to follow. GAFFNEY SERIAL KILLER SHOT BY GASTON POLICE LIVED IN WEST LINCOLN

Patrick Tracy Burris lived in Vale.

VALE – The last time 41-year-old Patrick Burris was in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center was June 12 on charges of driving while license revoked.

Monday morning, Burris pulled a gun and fired at officers. Officers returned fire, with Burris losing his life.

Police are looking for the person or persons responsibile for painting graffiti along parts of the Marcia Cloninger Rail Trail in Lincolnton.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding the vandals responsible.
