Larceny, trespassing suspects cited
LINCOLNTON –
Two Newton residents were cited for larceny with one suspect cited for trespassing at the Lincolnton Walmart. Aaron Lyda and Melissa Sipe were caught by employees stealing tools and other items from the store. Sipe was also previously banned from a Walmart. The couple has a February 14 day in court.


Assault suspect given unsecure bond
BOGER CITY –
A Salem Church Road man was arrested for assault in the 200 block of Salem Church Road. Wesley Sherrill of Lincolnton is a student at Asbury School. He was charged with assaulting another student. He was given a custody release and has a court date in February.


Woman arrested on several charges
DENVER –
A Mariners Point Circle woman is arrested on several charges following an assault. Kristen Taffi was charged with misdemeanor assault and battery and misdemeanor communicating threats in the incident. Bond was set at $500 secured with a January 10 court date.
